How do I know if my brick wall needs repointing or full rebuilding?
If mortar joints are crumbling, recessed, or letting water in, repointing is often enough. If bricks are loose, the wall is bulging, or cracking is widespread, rebuilding sections may be safer. We assess stability and recommend the most cost effective long term fix.
Can you match new bricks to an existing older wall?
Yes, we try to match size, color, and texture by sourcing similar bricks and adjusting mortar color where needed. On older buildings, minor variation is normal, but we aim for a blended finish that does not stand out. We can share samples before ordering materials.
How long should I wait before painting or sealing new brickwork?
New masonry needs time to cure so moisture can escape properly. In many cases you should wait several weeks, and longer in cold or damp weather. We will advise based on the mortar type, exposure, and the product you plan to use.
