Should I replace my lock or rekey it after losing keys?
If the keys are lost or stolen, replacement is often the safest option because you cannot know who may find them. Rekeying can work if the existing lock is in good condition and you want to keep the same hardware. A technician can inspect the lock and advise what is most secure for your door.
Can you replace a uPVC door lock the same day?
In many cases, yes, especially for common euro cylinders and many multi point systems. The technician will confirm the correct size and cam position before fitting to ensure smooth operation. If a specialised gearbox is required, we can secure the door and return with the correct part.
Will lock replacement damage my door?
A proper lock replacement should not damage the door when the correct tools and parts are used. The old lock is removed carefully and the new one is fitted to the correct measurements. If the door is misaligned or previously damaged, minor adjustments may be recommended to ensure reliable locking.
