Where should a water metering unit be installed?
It is typically installed on the incoming water supply where it is easy to access for reading and maintenance. We also consider protection from freezing, sufficient clearance, and a stable mounting surface.
Can you add a shut off valve if I already have a water meter?
Yes. We can fit a dedicated shut off valve and rebuild the surrounding fittings so the meter set is secure and serviceable. After installation we pressure test the joints and confirm the meter still reads correctly.
Will my water need to be turned off during installation?
In most cases, yes, the supply must be isolated to cut and fit the new unit safely. We keep downtime as short as possible and will advise you in advance so you can plan around the shut off window.
